My Experience Of A Full Colon Cleanse Experience

And so it begins

I arrived at the clinic for the start of my colon cleanse and was surprised to not feel too nervous, I had been for the last few days as it is a lot of time to spend in such a vigorous detox program. I was met by the specialists and they explained what was going to be happening. Day one started with a plain water enema, and the feeling of instant cleansing was enormous. The dietician explained what I would be eating and why, the what was not a lot and the why was because a reduced diet high in fibre really helps to clean out the bowels.

Mid Treatment, hitting the wall

By the second or third day (I forget) I was feeling a mixture of mild euphoria and giddiness. Apparently this is normal as the body gets used to a restricted diet all of the sugars we are used to having through our processed diet leave the system and cause an almost withdrawal like feeling. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it was very very different. The daily enemas were beginning to include nutrient solutions and I did feel much better than I had been feeling. I was feeling vey light and empty.

Seven Days of colon cleanse

After the full seven days I was feeling on top of the world. My diet had been augmented around day three and I was used to having light meals and plenty of raw food. The feeling in my bowels was amazing, I felt as if I had been scrubbed out and renewed. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt so invigorated or clean. I recommend a full colon cleanse to anyone who has ever experienced discomfort in the bowel, it is a wonderful experience.
